Why Bamboo?
WHY BAMBOO?
Good for you and our planet
Our search to re-define the essence of comfort has led us to uncover the unparalleled benefits of bamboo yarn.
Easy on the skin, hypoallergenic and highly breathable, this miracle plant produces one of the softest yarns available... and we fell in love at first touch.

Good for the environment
Grown without pesticides
Bamboo has a natural pesticide (bamboo kun) which means no chemicals are used in growing or harvesting, providing a cleaner, safer environment for the farm workers and in turn the environment is not damaged.
Regenerating, Fast Growing
Bamboo grows quickly, at a rate of up to 4ft per day.
Improves Air Quality
Bamboo generates up to 35% more oxygen and absorbs up to 5 time more C02 than the equivalent plantation of trees.
Water Conservation
Bamboo uses less than 1/3 the amount of water that it takes to grow the equivalent plantation of cotton (organic or not).
Good for our health
Anti Bacterial & Antifungal
Bamboo fibre maintains some of the natural antibacterial properties of the plant and has been proven to assist in the control of odour.
BREATHABLE & MOISTURE WICKING
Bamboo fibre pulls moisture away from the skin, allowing skin to breathe.
Hypoallergenic
Particularly suitable for sensitive skin, including skin irritations and conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.
OKEOTEX-100 STANDARD
Our fibres are dyed under strict guidelines as set out in the reach standard for responsible textile production. All our yarns are manufactured using Okeotex-100 standard which ensures no harmful chemicals are used.
GOOD FOR OUR WELLBEING
Blissfully Soft
Bamboo is beautifully soft on the skin, silky and luxurious in texture.
Thermo Regulating
Bamboo has amazing characteristics of being snugly and warm in Winter and cool and comfortable in Summer.
GOOD FOR OUR PARTNERS
We use bamboo grown commercially by small Communities in south and west China. The bamboo is harvested all year round, supplying a constant income for these small communities with little or no cost as harvesting can be done by hand.
